Invite a New User

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Log into your Clicky account
  2. Go to PreferencesUsers
  3. Click Add a User
  4. Enter the user's email address
  5. Select the access level:
    • Admin: Full access to all settings
    • User: View and analyze data
    • View Only: Read-only access
  6. Choose which sites they can access (if you have multiple)
  7. Click Send Invitation

Invitation Process

  • User receives an email invitation
  • They click the link to accept
  • New account created or linked to existing Clicky account
  • Access is immediately available

Access Configuration

Single Site Access

Grant access to just one website:

  1. Select the specific site from the dropdown
  2. Choose appropriate permission level
  3. Send invitation

Multi-Site Access

For agencies or multi-property setups:

  1. Select "All sites" or check individual sites
  2. Apply consistent permission level
  3. User sees all selected sites in their dashboard

Permission Levels Explained

Admin Access

Grants full control:

  • Modify tracking settings
  • Create and edit goals
  • Manage other users
  • Access billing (owner only)
  • Delete data

Use for: Co-owners, senior team members, trusted partners

User Access

Standard team member access:

  • View all reports
  • Create personal dashboard views
  • Export data
  • Cannot modify site settings

Use for: Marketing team, analysts, developers

View Only Access

Restricted read access:

  • View reports only
  • No export capabilities
  • No configuration access

Use for: Clients, executives, external stakeholders

Client Access for Agencies

Setting Up Client Access

  1. Create user with View Only access
  2. Enable white-label features (if available on your plan)
  3. Customize the dashboard view if needed
  4. Send branded invitation

Troubleshooting

Invitation Not Received

  • Check spam/junk folders
  • Verify email address spelling
  • Resend invitation from Users panel
  • Try alternative email address

User Can't Access Site

  • Confirm site is selected in their permissions
  • Verify invitation was accepted
  • Check for typos in email address
  • Ensure account is active
